BARLOWORLD TOYOTA WARRIORS TAKE IT IN ONRUS
[Tuesday, December 23, 2008 07:44:02]The Barloworld Toyota Warriors blew the Grand Prix wide open on Sunday with a typically workmanlike performance to take the honours.
The Warriors overcame a difficult draw and were deserved winners on the day after dispatching the Vodacom Amazing Galaxy Warriors in the Semi. The other Semi was contested by the Henties Dwergies and the Shufflers with the Dwergies edging the game and booking their place in the final.
With slightly smaller fields due to the size of the beach, the Warriors were always going to be difficult to beat in the final once they got their noses in front and they eventually closed the game out by 1 try to nil. The V A G W beat the Shufflers to take 3rd place.
The Grand Prix is shaping up to be the tightest ever with 6 teams still very much in the running. The 4th leg of the series takes place at Struis Baai on Tuesday...
