DIAZ BEACH DRAWS CROWDS AND TIDES
[Tuesday, December 30, 2008 13:42:53]Another big field came to play Touchies again in somewhat overcast and windy conditions yesterday. The field was whittled down as quickly as possible as the Spring tide put paid to any Touch being played in the afternoon.
The winners on the day were the Vodacom Amazing Galaxy Warriors who beat the Rugbytech Outsiders in the final. The Itec Nomads took third place over the Henties Dwergies.
On the day the Vodacom Amazing Galaxy Warriors fielded 4 players from other teams who had competed previously in this years series. In terms of the competition rules this team was then classified as a merged team and the Grand Prix Points were therefor awarded to the merged team.
