It’s SPAR Hot Summer of Touch time again and 2009 will be bigger and better than ever before.

 

The series has been restructured to try and enhance player enjoyment and the new innovations developed promise to offer a completely new dimension.

 

This year sees 2 separate competition sections taking place. The Top 8 beach teams in the country will compete against each other in the “Pro-Series” and the traditional “Open Tournament” will be just that, encouraging literally everyone who can throw a Rugby ball, to come and compete for some awesome prizes without the fear of losing to the Pro’s... With this in mind, the organisers are anticipating record numbers of teams this year.

 

The added bonus for the winners and runners up in the “Open Tournament” is that they will get to join the Quarter Finals of the Pro Series giving them the opportunity to test themselves against the best of the best!

 

The Prize Pool is valued at an unprecedented R175 000 and the usual fun and games lead by KFM Surf Guru Deon Bing is guaranteed to keep everyone happy on the beaches this summer.
