[Thursday, December 10, 2009 08:55:04]40 Teams, a hot beach and some exilerating touch action is expected on Saturday as the first leg of the SPAR Hot Summer of Touch begins.
The much anticipated Pro Series is to be a huge highlight this year both for players and spectators, with literally no place to hide for 96 of the countries best touch players who will be pitting their skills against each other in a strength versus strength competition from the outset.
In any given match on any given day, all 8 teams can beat each other which augers well for a very tightly contested competition. The defending champion Itec Nomads will go into the competition as narrow favourites followed closely by the Amazing Galaxy Warriors. The Shufflers, Quali Dwergies, Rugbytech Outsiders, Rugbytech Warriors, Henties and Maynard Touch teams will be close on their heels.
The Open Tournament is also expected to generate huge amounts of interest with already over 25 teams having confirmed their intention to participate.
Registration begins at 08h00 and the first games will begin no later than 09h30...
